Additions to your home or office

From Knox New Look

Is your home or office just too small to meet your needs? Adding an addition can be a great way to significantly improve your home or work place.

We start with the design: Our leadership will meet with you and discuss your vision, needs and goals and will draw up a preliminary design for you to consider. Of course, we will also do everything we can to ensure your addition is designed using quality materials that will last, are appealing to the look, functional and cost-effective. When you approve of the design, we are then ready to move on to the next step:

Having gained your approval, we will then submit the blueprints and design request to the government office that will approve the project. If the home or office is located in a Historic District, there may be specific design aspects that must be incorporated into the design to ensure continuity in the surroundings. If your neighborhood has deed restrictions, we must ensure the new addition complies with the rules and regulations that are in place. After they have reviewed and approved the project, they will issue a work permit to allow the construction to take place.

Then the work begins: The foundation must be laid to support the new structure. This aspect is critical to prevent settling, cracking or shifting of the new structure. When we are finished with the project, we hope to deliver an addition that looks like it was an integral part of the original building.

We then have to frame the new structure, not only the exterior and interior walls, but also the new roof that will protect the addition. Electrical lines, plumbing, and HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) ducts must be put in place. Windows must be installed, doors, insulation, the interior walls, exterior walls, and more. We are experienced, licensed and insured, so you can entrust us to take on your major projects.

From start to finish, the one to trust with the addition for your home or office is Knox New Look!
